As the 2021 new year key visual for the Japanese condom brand Okamoto, I was requested by the brand to illustrate a festive image that involves Japanese elements, but also reflects our urban lifestyle or attitudes.

I intended to create a cozy, festive indoor scene.

At the center of the room two people are enjoying their leisure time alongside a pine tree decorated in a rather traditional way. On the table there are some delicate objects and unwrapped gifts. The bubbles floating around are giving us hints about the conversation and possible preference of the two figures.
